improves mother and child care in Afrika
To secure the future of the Mount Meru Foundation, the board has been seeking new board members. Two prospective board members have now been found, and they would like to introduce themselves.
Trudy Elskamp lives in Amsterdam and has worked as a sonographer in gynecology and obstetrics for nearly 25 years, both in primary and secondary care. A few years ago, she traveled through northern Tanzania and witnessed firsthand how many people lack access to basic services. This experience left a deep impression on her. As she approaches retirement, she is eager to dedicate her time to supporting the Mount Meru Foundation.
Heidi van Keken has been involved in ultrasound since 1991, initially as a radiology technician and later in obstetrics. In addition to performing obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds, she has experience training sonographers in conducting 13-week and 20-week screening ultrasounds, evaluating logbooks with ultrasound images, and providing hands-on training. She understands better than anyone the importance of a good ultrasound and would love to see this become accessible to every woman in Tanzania. She hopes to make a significant contribution to the Foundation in this area.
We warmly welcome the new prospective board members!
