Mission:

Mount Meru Foundation wants to contribute to improving mother and child care in Africa. The Foundation wants to share its expertise and experience in obstetrics and ultrasound with colleagues in Africa.

The Foundation wants to use the funds received for the training of sonographers and the purchase of ultrasound equipment that will be made available to colleagues in Africa.

Donations:

The Foundation received a number of donations after the donors had been personally approached.

A number of acquaintances have donated their received birthday money to the Foundation.

The costs for the website have been donated by our website administrator.

Interest-free loan

In 2017, the Foundation received an interest-free loan of € 5000 from a donor. Annually 1,000 euros of the loan is donated.

Contribute Mount Meru hospital in Arusha / Tanzania:

In 2017, an ultrasound device was donated to the Mount Meru hospital in Arusha.
The training and hands-on training that were linked to this were provided by the board members Margriet van der Weel-Roem and Anna Lied Poelstra-Sanders. Both the trip and the stay were paid by the board members themselves.

Bank charges:

Monthly costs must be paid to the bank for both accounts.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it can be said that in 2018 the Foundation has a slightly negative balance of 274.29 euros. The balance of the payment and savings account on 01-01-2018 was 5735.44 euros. In 2018 there have been a few major donors and money has been received through the sale of own brewed beer and incentive and other donations.
