improves mother and child care in Afrika
The Mount Meru Hospital is a large hospital that is funded by the government.
About 10,000 births occur every year. One of the methods that can contribute to better care before and around birth is ultrasound. By means of an ultrasound, major problems can be detected so that timely intervention can be of vital importance for both mother and child.
The Foundation has donated a portable ultrasound device, the Mindray Z6.
In collaboration with the radiologist at Mount Meru Hospital, Dr. Richard Sungura, we were able to give hands-on training for a number of days.
The message we received from Richard Sungura in November:
"We are doing fine !!! The Machine is perfect !! We did a public demonstration of Doppler ultrasound scanning with volunteers !! Everyone was happy !!! ”
