Since the early days, Regina Namumba, senior sonographer and trainer, has been closely involved with the Foundation. Recently, she made the transition from Tabora to Zanzibar. We would like to congratulate her on her new position and challenge!

For the Foundation, this job change appears to have no adverse effects as far as we can currently assess. It is expected that Regina will be able to continue providing hands-on training to sonographers following the Foundation's training program. In terms of accessibility, Zanzibar also offers several advantages.

Exactly a year ago, we invited Regina to conduct a series of training sessions during our working visit to Zanzibar, including at the clinic where Johanna, using a mobile ultrasound device sponsored by the Foundation, runs a busy ultrasound consultation practice.

We recently received a photo of Johanna training at Regina's new workplace. It's wonderful to see how these women independently seek connection and continue the training initiated by the Foundation. This aligns with the mission of the Mount Meru Foundation to contribute to a training network of midwife sonographers in Tanzania.
